Job Purpose / Background:

The Paris office of Temasek is looking for an investment professional with ~1-2 years of relevant experience to join the investment team at the Associate (A) or Senior Associate (SA) levels.

A/SAs are an integral part of the investment team, participating in all aspects of the investment process, from initial screening and due diligence, through approval, to post-investment monitoring and value creation .

Core Functions & Responsibilities:

• Participate in identifying and assessing investment opportunities in high-growth companies across various sub-sectors.
• Conduct research and financial analysis on target companies and assigned sub-sectors.
• Evaluate, undertake due diligence, close investments, and monitor portfolio company performance, leading them to public listing or divestment.
• Develop financial models and presentations for internal evaluation and investment committees.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with companies, corporate partners, research analysts, and other relevant institutions.
• Monitor existing portfolio companies and new direct investments against investment theses and assist with value creation .
• Assist with regular portfolio reporting and periodic firm-wide strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong academic qualifications in any discipline with a passion for investing.
• 1-2 years of working experience in top-tier private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, research, asset management, corporate/business development, consulting, operational, or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset and modelling skills.
• Good understanding of financial statements.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• High level of interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Strong team skills, comfortable with consensus decision-making, and working in a cross-border, multi-cultural team environment.
• Familiarity with electronic data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ) and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Tableau).
