The EIT Community is a collaborative network comprising the European Institute of Innovation and Technology's (EIT) long-term partnerships, known as Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).

By leveraging the collective expertise of these KICs, the EIT Community initiatives bring together academia, research, and business to power innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity. In the Strategic Synergies Community three core initiatives are encompassed. The New European Bauhaus, which support the translation of the Green Deal with tangible change that improves citizens’ daily life through working with start-ups, change-makers, civil society and local authorities. Supernovas, empowering women to be more present in the entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem by providing them a distinctive network and educational opportunities. Artificial Intelligence supporting the European ecosystem to tackle societal, business, environmental, and regulatory challenges by promoting the human-centric implementation of Artificial Intelligence as well as contributing to the upskilling of AI professionals.

About the position

As a EIT Community Project Manager you will be responsible for monitoring the successful execution of projects under the umbrella of EIT community supported initiatives, particularly but not limited to the EIT Community Strategic Synergies project the role of the EIT Community Project Manager combines projects managements with administrative and reporting tasks.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Corporate Affairs & Strategic Initiatives or to a relevant delegate that the Sr. Director will indicate and to the EIT Community Senior Manager.

About you

We are looking for a EIT Community Project Manager with experience of at least 3 years in coordinating, monitoring programmes/projects across education, research & innovation, and business areas. In addition, working experience in AI projects, Industry and Manufacturing will be requested.

He/she will collaborate with stakeholders from industry, higher education institutions, research institutes, regional/national authorities, as well as with individuals for identifying and documenting their needs to ensure our activities will create the highest value.

With a proven track record of establishing effective working relationships with key stakeholders, he/she will manage complex processes independently utilizing a cross-European multi-stakeholder approach.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for the management, development and implementation of EIT Community Strategic Synergies Project, with focus on the Artificial Intelligence workpackage.

• Support implementation in the other EIT Community projects.
• Take appropriate actions and measures to achieve the objectives and targets (e.g. KPIs) of the implemented projects.
• Prepare all projects documentation (deliverables, handbooks, tutorials, performance and cost reporting, KPIs, etc).
• Organize workshops, meetings, and dissemination events linked to the scope of the projects.
• Work closely with the EIT Manufacturing’s Sr. Director of Corporate Affairs & Strategic Initiatives and EIT Community Senior Manager, with partners and/or external stakeholders and outline strategies to exploit the results.
• Budgets Planning & Discussion. Creation and planning – Strategic and Operative
• Stakeholder Management activities at local and & EU levels, including participation and planning of/in Events.
• Planning, Organizing and implementation of the AI Challenge and matchmaking activity between Startups and Corporates
• Start-up support
• Contribute to Skill Sync (tool to analyze the Skill gaps in AI & Cybersecurity).
• Delivering Pilot Tester.
• Be the contact point, compile, collect and report, all EITM internal activities on AI.
• Administration of the EIT AI Community Page.
• Promote EIT Manufacturing's involvement in EIT RIS countries and relevant regions of interest,

Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master degree. University degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional experience/qualifications. PhD would be a strong plus.
• Minimum of 3 years experience on managing publicly European & National funded projects.
• Previous experience with AI, manufacturing industry and stakeholders is a plus.
• Excellent English language proficiency in both verbal and written communication.

Skills and expertise:

• Proven track record in project management.
• Experience in establishing collaborations.
• Good knowledge of AI.
• Experience in relevant fields such as ecosystem creation, acceleration programmes, entrepreneurship, engagement of individuals for innovation, incubation, business creation, start-up training, marketing, etc, will be positively evaluated.
• Process-oriented with attention to detail and the ability to best combine analytical thinking with creativity.
• A team player who understands the importance of teamwork in an international environment.
• Experience in dealing with representatives at all levels in academia, industry, research.
• Willingness to travel regularly to locations across Europe.
• Organized, proactive, service-oriented, capable of multitasking.
• Independent and trustworthy.

Location

The post will be based at the Headquarters in Paris, France. Remote working can be considered based on candidate’s profile. In that case, EIT Community Project Manager will need though to assure a minimum presence at the location.
