Job Description
Job Title: Lead Project Professional - Delivery
Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Hybrid and flexible working options available)
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading the project management of the Jigs & Tools programme to support submarine-related projects.
* Managing the full lifecycle of complex, high-value jigs, ensuring timely delivery in collaboration with the supply chain and meeting customer requirements.
* Delivering fast-turnaround, low-complexity, high-volume jigs on time and within budget.
* Working with an integrated project team, coordinating efforts across supply chain, quality, and engineering to ensure project success.
* Leading or supporting escalation reviews to resolve project challenges.
* Developing project delivery plans and performance metrics to support programme objectives.
* Ensuring value for money while managing schedule, cost, and risk from start to finish through risk and opportunity management.
* Collaborating closely with onsite teams and suppliers to ensure smooth and successful project execution.
* Responsible for supporting and implementing tailored project management practices for optimal outcomes.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience managing a variety of project deliveries across multiple customers.
* Strong understanding of customer requirements, with the ability to communicate effectively regarding product specifications, part breakdowns, and conditions of supply.
* Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. APMQ) or equivalent professional experience.
* Supervisory experience and the ability to lead teams.
* Familiarity with problem-solving tools and techniques to address challenges effectively.

About the Jig and Tool Project Delivery Team: This dynamic team delivers a wide range of jigs and tools, varying in complexity and cost, for multiple internal and external stakeholders. The team ensures the on-time, budget-conscious delivery of these products, interfacing with Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, and Build teams to meet the needs of high-profile programmes.
Relocation support is available for this role, subject to eligibility criteria
