Overview of Division/Department
Our Asia-Pacific Corporate Banking, Project Finance Team is responsible for the project finance business in Asia, excluding Japan. The Agency section plays an essential role in performing the duties of the appointed agent role and works closely with the borrower, lenders and all parties to ensure that loan compliance requirements are met.

Job Responsibilities
1) Promoting and strengthening of Mizuho's relationship with the customers.
2) Manage assigned project transactions eg:
a) Provide prompt response for all incoming correspondences (with borrowers, lenders, consultants etc.).
b) Facilitate borrower's queries, waivers/consent request.
c) Facilitate lender's requests.
d) Carry out duties as the mandated agent per the loan agreements - overall PIC of the transaction including trouble shooting whenever required.
e) Obtain internal approvals eg for margins, comprehensive approvals, waiver of charges, etc.
f) Closely monitor project issues and compliance requirements.
g) Work with operation team to ensure that transaction records are kept current and accurate.
h) Open accounts and conduct CDD checks.
i) Facilitate borrower/lender/consult ant conference calls, lender's meeting, site visits.
j) Documentation reviews.
3) Facilitate road shows and presentation as and when required.
4) Provide prompt feedback- to Team Leader/Section Head on all transaction/operational issues, non compliance
matters with proposals.for resolutions of the issue/plan of action.
5) Mentor and provide technical assistance to junior staff.
6) Perform duties as checker and approver where appropriate.
7) Undertake business promotion activities such as preparation of bid proposals etc.
8) Overall responsibility for the quality of any submissions to the authorities (eg MAS Return on Syndicated Offshore Facilities - Return A & Return B to MAS, compliance reports, etc.).
9) Appointed as BCP coordinator.
10) Assist on other assigned duties from time to time.
Job Requirements
• A degree in Business, Accounting or Banking & Finance with at least 10 years of syndicated loan agency or project finance experience.
• Good credit background, strong documentation and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, proactive, able to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Strong communication, numerical and IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) are attributes which will help the candidate perform well in this role.
• Travelling will be required on a need basis.
