Job Responsibilities
The person will be responsible for providing expert advice and knowledge to clients on Project Finance transactions within the energy space. The role specializes in originating, advising and structuring Project Finance transactions for specific large-scale projects for corporates and government clients. Sectors of coverage include, but not limited to, oil, gas (including natural gas, LNG, LPG, FLNG, FPSO, FSO etc.), new energy (such as hydrogen, ammonia, CCS etc.), petrochemical, metals and mining.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Take responsibility in business development and origination for the bank by bringing in and managing relationship with new and existing clients, to generate targeted sales and profit objectives
  • Provide expertise and specialized financial advisory and solution to new and existing clients with deep industry knowledge in the overall energy space
  • Cultivate, maintain and develop good business relationship with banks and ECAs
  • Maintain awareness of the conditions and issues surrounding the business (e.g. industry, country, regulatory, financial, etc.) in which the customers or potential projects operate.
  • Coaching of junior members on financial modelling and to function as checker on financial models built by other team members.
  • Provide financial advisory and debt arrangement services to customers.
  • Conduct due diligence of projects, coordinating with technical consultants, market consultants, legal counsel, accountants, etc.
  • Negotiate with customers on financing terms and conditions.
  • Preparation of presentation material, financial proposals, and term sheets.
  • Conduct documentation negotiations.
  • Prepare credit applications, call memos and other internal reports related to business promotion.
  • Solve problems arising in course of execution of business opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop good relationship with HO and relevant branches/offices to facilitate execution of new transactions.
  • Support and assist management on strategic direction for new business areas.


Job Requirements
- Minimum 9 years of relevant project finance experience (principally across project financial advisory and debt/ECA financing), having obtained this preferably from financial institutions or advisory/accounting firms. Other relevant experiences in large corporate or multi-national companies will also be considered.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding of financial markets and products.
- Must be comfortable leading a deal team for project finance transactions.
- Travelling within Asia Pacific may be necessary.
- Candidate must be a strong team player, with good initiatives and an entrepreneurial spirit towards deals origination and customers engagement.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines is a minimum requirement for applicants.
- Knowledge in project finance structuring, financial models, documentation and credit process is a must.
- Knowledge in oil, gas (including natural gas, LNG, LPG, FLNG, FPSO, FSO etc.), new energy (such as hydrogen, ammonia, CCS etc.), petrochemical, metals and mining is a plus.
