Exide Technologies’ Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I). Exide´s technology portfolio spans from multiple lead-acid over to lithium-ion technologies supporting the global energy transition and digitalization. Our storage systems are used in UPS, Telecom, Datacenters, Public Transport, In-Front-of-the-meter and Behind-the-Meter applications and many more.

ABOUT THE JOB:

For our growing division Energy Solutions in Büdingen (nearby Frankfurt am Main) or in a home office from e.g. Frankfurt, Nürnberg, München, Düsseldorf or Stuttgart at the earliest possible date we are looking for a:

Technical Sales Engineer / Application Engineer (m/f/x)

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

• You understand the technical requirements of our customers and support the sales department in the preparation of quotations
• As the first technical contact, you will accompany the project and operating phase, including 1st level support, also on site
• Carrying out technical analyses on the feasibility and viability of BESS storage projects and preparing detailed tender documents
• Interface between customer, development department and project planning
• First point of contact for planners, installation companies and EPCs
• Carrying out product training courses and workshops

What we ask for:

• Completed degree in electrical engineering or comparable further training as a technician/master craftsman
• Several years of experience in project planning and implementation of renewable energy projects would be a plus
• The skills required in this role are teamwork, structured planning, organisation and a sense of responsibility
• Knowledge / experience in battery technology is an advantage
• Confident handling of common PC applications (e.g. MS Office)
• Willingness to travel (approx. 20-30%)
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
