SPA THERAPIST (Confident all-rounder with focus on advanced therapies) SOMERSET-WEST - Cape Winelands, Western Cape (ZA) START: November 2024 TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS Monday – Sunday 08:00 - 20:00 (shifts apply) | Trading hours will be reduced for winter months Rotate open & close days off REPORT TO: Spa Manager SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS R6,000 - R9,500 (based on experience & desired skills) Service Commission 10% Retail Commission 10% Incentives Tips / Gratuities Excellent earning potential MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: South African citizen OR valid working permit for employment in SA ( we do not offer permits ) CIDESCO / ITEC / SAAHSP / CIBTAC / City & Guilds / BABTAC or internationally recognized accreditation DIPLOMA Health & Skin Care / Beauty Therapy / Somatology / Cosmetology BONUS - Dermal Aesthetics (not minimum requirement but nice to have) Based in or within reasonable travel distance to SOMERSET-WEST Fit and healthy to perform therapies back to back Beautifully groomed, manicured and looking the part of an Aesthetic/Spa Professional Confident and knowledgeable on advanced skin care and ingredients Confident retailer - ability to prescribe home care confidently EXPERIENCE: Therapy employment experience within a luxury day spa, high-end salon OR aesthetic clinic Senior Therapist / Lead therapist experience BONUS Cruise Ship OR international employment experience is favorable BONUS high-end salon or aesthetic therapy experience BONUS Experience working with active ingredients KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Confident and skilled in all standard SPA, BEAUTY & SKIN CARE services Confident performing a detailed skin analysis Confidently perform advance skin care treatments, peels and resurfacing treatments - BONUS Skin penetrating treatments including micro-needling / nano needling / Derma Pen / Skin Pen / CIT - BONUS Light-based therapies experience (LASER / IPL / LED) - BONUS Ability to effectively prescribe relevant home care to clients accordingly Retail confident Confidently re-book clients where applicable Strong team dynamic, but able to work on your own without supervision Ability to work in luxury environment with high-end clients from around the world Able to commit to working hospitality hours (weekends, major holidays and shifts)
