Project Planner

Location : Northam Platinum Mine Salary : R30,000 per month R5,000 allowance Contract Length : 12 months Accommodation : Own accommodation required Start Date : ASAP Requirements : Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and plans. Proficient in Microsoft Projects. Background in Project Management (advantageous). Valid driver's license and own transport. Fluent in Afrikaans and English . Must have own accommodation near the site. Key Responsibilities : Project Scheduling & Planning : Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6. Resource Allocation : Allocate resources (labor, equipment, materials) to meet project deadlines efficiently. Critical Path Analysis : Track and manage critical path activities and address potential delays. Progress Monitoring & Reporting : Record progress deviations and present reports to management and stakeholders. Collaboration : Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Cost & Time Management : Align project schedules with budgets, monitor cost/time variances, and recommend corrective actions. Risk Management : Identify scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies. Change Management : Manage schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances and update stakeholders. Compliance : Ensure the project schedule adheres to safety, environmental, and legal regulations specific to mining. Quality Assurance : Integrate quality assessments into the project schedule and coordinate inspections. Stakeholder Communication : Serve as a key contact for schedule-related queries and conduct schedule review meetings.
