Job Description

Are you an experienced finance professional with a strong background in accounting and leadership? We are seeking a dedicated Accountant/Finance Team Lead to join our dynamic team in Century City. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a finance department, ensure financial accuracy, and drive improvements in financial processes. If you have a relevant accounting qualification, excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans, and are ready to take on new challenges, we would love to hear from you. Relevant accounting qualification Own transport Fluent in English and Afrikaans Key Responsibilities: Prepare Financial Statements: Create monthly income and balance sheet statements, reconciliations, and management accounts with accuracy and timeliness. Report Generation: Produce and present detailed reports for the Financial Director (FD), including stock and expense reports. Financial Controls: Monitor and enhance financial controls, manage the fixed asset register, and handle VAT reconciliations. Department Oversight: Oversee finance department activities, including stock management, debtors, creditors, cash, and bank transactions. Audit Preparation: Assist with year-end audit preparations and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Team Management: Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring effective performance, providing training, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Technology and Software: Stay updated with advancements in financial technology and accounting software to ensure best practices. Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist the FD with various ad-hoc projects and process forex payments as required.
