Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer F/M/X to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in the design and development of power converters, particularly for railway and bus applications. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a range of stakeholders, from suppliers to customers, in a collaborative, international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop auxiliary converters for railway and bus applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers to specify components and set technical requirements.
• Plan, execute, and document validation tests to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Provide support to production teams during series testing and ensure seamless project execution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, analyzing their needs and offering tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with the service and repair department to diagnose and rectify system faults and provide after-sales support.

Your Profile:

• You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, with more than 5 years of professional experience in converter development.
• You have proven expertise in power electronics design and application, especially in auxiliary power or railway technology.
• Experience with SiC semiconductors is a plus.
• A PhD in power electronics is beneficial, though not required.
• You are proficient in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You possess an independent, goal-oriented work ethic, and are comfortable working under time pressure.
• You enjoy collaborating in an international and interdisciplinary team environment and can effectively prioritize tasks for optimal results.
