Depositary Client Services Officer

Your responsibilities

Upon initial induction in international depositary and custody operations of the company, the candidate will:

-work closely with Depositary and Custody Product Manager for alternative investment funds domiciled in Luxembourg

-communicate with portfolio managers located worldwide to administer business onboarding of alternative investment funds clients

-in cooperation with legal counsels, lead preparation and execution of depositary agreements and SLAs with Luxembourg alternative investment funds and with investment managers

-agree and execute operating memoranda and SLAs with fund administrators, fund managers and other third parties

-organise and administer contractual documentation of the unit

-support custody operations unit and its relationships with delegates in custody network

-translate business arrangements with clients to depositary operational team

Upon development in the depositary services unit, the candidate will:

-analyse investment strategies and draft proposals of business acceptance of depositary prospect clients

-agree details of depositary service for alternative investment funds and their third party service providers

-speak to clients wishing to make changes to their structures or launch new funds to address their needs and shape offering

-meet prospect and existing clients and counterparties during relationship and business development visits

-participate in various projects around changes to the business offering of the depositary unit

Our requirements

Successful candidate in this role needs to:

-have a degree in Economics, Finance, Law or related field

-possess 5 years of experience in investment funds industry, preferably in operations area

-communicate effectively by mail and orally in English in a way that brings matters to a conclusion

-speak with others in a constructive way, communicate in moderation to achieve goals while maintaining relationships intact

-be organised, meticulous, able to read and master contracts and legal documents versions and changes

-understand financial instruments, capital markets and alternative strategies

-have interest in investment products and funds specifics as well as in related regulatory aspects

-possess knowledge or be eager to understand AIFM directive depositary service

-feel no reluctancy to read legal acts, study regulations and guidelines to ensure their application in internal processes

-have an inclination to learn details from primary sources, willing to understand root cause

-like to put hands on when needed and occasionally work operationally to support delivery

-have transversal skills and not mind changes of tasks allocated, like non-routine tasks

-be positive, like a sense of achievement

-speak Polish
