Your responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts (BS and P&L) statements
• Responsible for ensuring all transactions are posted and ledgers are closed in a timely manner
• Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the group's financial records (including CoA)
• Prepares/reviews balance sheet reconciliations and investigates/resolves discrepancies
• Manages the fixed asset register (FAR)
• Ensures the timely completion of month-end close processes (incl. all journal postings)
• Works with the Finance Operations team during the month to ensure all transactions are processed correctly, and any open items from the prior month-end are investigated/resolved
• Analyses the management accounts reports to provide insights into financial performance
• Monitors KPIs to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
• Able to effectively leverage accounting software and business intelligence tools to streamline the external reporting process and enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Identifies and manages risk appropriately, maintaining appropriate controls to establish a robust and operationally effective control environment
• Supports Senior Group Accountant with the Group consolidation process
• Provides ad hoc accounting technical advice and support to in-country finance leads
• Provides ad hoc project support (e.g. during an acquisition)
• Coordinates and supports external audits
• Supports a culture of learning and continuous improvement
• Acts as a role model within the team, takes an active role in the development of more junior Staff

Our requirements

• ACA, CIMA or CFA or equivalent / practical knowledge of IFRS
• At least 3 years of PQE
• Confident communicator, with good interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
• Ability to partner with other stakeholders to gain organisational buy in
• Organised and proactive
• Proficient use of Excel
• Experience of finance systems and reporting tools
• Fluent in English
• Readiness for full onsite work in Kraków office

Reporting to Senior Group Accountant, the Group Accountant plays a pivotal role ensuring that financial information is accurately presented, complies with regulations, and provides stakeholders with a clear understanding of the company's financial performance and position.
