Job Description

Responsible for optimizing supply chain processes and managing the importation of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product availability based on future demand Responsibilities/Description: Demand Forecasting: Develop and implement demand forecasting models and techniques to predict future customer demand for products or services. Collaborate with commercial and product teams to gather relevant data and insights for accurate forecasts. Inventory Management: Oversee and optimize inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability to meet customer demands while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory costs. Implement inventory control strategies and maintain accurate inventory records. Supply Planning: Develop supply plans to ensure a smooth flow of goods or services through the supply chain. Coordinate with suppliers and production teams to align supply with forecasted demand, considering lead times and capacity constraints. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Facilitate the S&OP process, bringing together cross-functional teams to review and align demand forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels. Help resolve potential conflicts and balance supply with demand. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain. Develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on the organizations operations. Monitor external factors (market trends, economic changes, geopolitical events) affecting demand and supply. Import Management Preparing and reviewing import documentation. Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations Maintaining accurate records of all import transactions. Monitor and track shipments for timely delivery. Coordinating with freight forwarders for clearance. Handling any inspections or queries during customs clearance. Working with suppliers and freight forwarders to manage logistics. Staying informed about changes in import regulations. Ensuring the company remains compliant with new regulatory requirements. Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of demand, supply planning, and import processes. Generate regular reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among departments (commercial, procurement, production, logistics). Ensure all teams are aligned with the demand and supply planning strategies. Additional Responsibilities: Liaise with the Distribution team to ensure timely deliveries. Update relevant parties about delays and challenges related to incoming materials. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related fields. 5 years experience in operations or supply chain roles Knowledge of supply planning theory and stock management Knowledge of MS Office tools Excellent business English communication skills Effective communication skills Analytical and quantitative skills Continuous improvement attitude Training / Certifications: SAP, APO, MRP training on functional areas of expertise APICS Module I (Basics of Supply Chain Management) training Six Sigma certification
