The City of Gütersloh is looking to fill the following position in the IT Service department as soon as possible Head of UserHelpDesk department (m/f/d) (EG 11 TVöD plus possible specialist allowance) to be filled. The IT Service of Gütersloh City Council is a 17-strong team of IT specialists, administrators and administrative staff. We are faced with the challenge of optimizing processes and introducing an IT service management system to make technical user support future-oriented. As a manager in the UserHelpDesk department, you will play an important role in this by coordinating the deployment of the 7 IT administrators and playing a key role in IT service management. YOUR COMMITMENT IS NEEDED HERE Head of UserHelpDesk department with leadership role for a team of IT administrators Introduction of a new IT service management system (ITSM) with ticket system, service catalog, knowledge and configuration database Optimization of service processes and IT services Administration and further development of the system for OS deployment, software distribution and desktop automation Technical-organizational services with regard to the support of specialist departments and specialist procedures Administration, optimization and further development of mobile device management Technical support for the operation and maintenance of the municipal DMS system Authority to issue instructions to currently 7 IT administrators and the service providers involved in the ITSM and DMS processes WHY YOU ARE OUR FIRST CHOICE You have a university degree with a Dipl. FH or Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or similar or you have an education in the field of computer science as well as relevant, certified further training (e.g. IT project management, IT service management or comparable) and several years of management and professional experience in this field. You have very good administrative knowledge in the areas of Windows servers, Windows clients, network technology, mobile devices (iOS, Android). Security in dealing with virtual IT environments is one of your strengths. You have sound hardware knowledge (PC, laptop, printer, etc.) and sound scripting knowledge (e.g. Powershell).
