About the Department

UOB Private Bank
is dedicated to managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals with investment assets of $5million and above. Keeping in mind our clients' financial objectives, we provide tailored products and solutions that draw on the Group's comprehensive suite of personal, business and investment services.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of the Private Bank Middle Office Security Settlement team providing middle office trade settlement support for security transactions and all other settlement related activities.

These activities include:
• Assist Team Head in providing day to day management oversight over a sub team.
• Provide support in the settlement of security transactions.
• Provide subject matter expertise in securities operations processes and ensure operational readiness
• Investigate and resolve settlement issues.
• Provide guidance on proper resolution of issue.
• Provide operation representation in all new product implementations.
• Engage and work closely with other department heads to achieve business goals and objectives.
• Conduct regular review of existing processes and procedures to ensure maximum operational efficiency and controls are watertight.
• To drive the initiation and implementation of new processes and workflows.
• Provide guidance and training to lift capabilities of existing and new team members.
• Monitor and manage service levels of all internal and external service providers.
• Undertake and lead ad hoc assignments, projects and UAT.

Job Requirements
• Degree in Business, Banking/Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
• 12 years of securities settlement experience preferably in private banking with minimum 7 years in a team lead/ assistant team lead capacity.
• A strong team player with a can-do attitude and ability to speak for the team and influence them.
• Must possess hands-on ability to perform trade processing and settlements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong knowledge in private banking system infrastructures and regulatory requirements.
• Able to perform under limited supervision.
• Able to make sound and independent decisions in resolving issues.
