Fitter and Turner

Job Description: Looking for an experienced Fitter and Turner to join a company that supplies a large range of agricultural equipment. Working hours: Monday to Thursday - 07.30 am 16.00 Friday 07.30am 16.00 Responsibilities: Assemble, maintain, and repair agricultural machinery and equipment Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate fitting and turning Operate lathes, milling machines, and other tools for precision machining Manufacture or modify parts as required Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to ensure equipment functionality Perform regular maintenance and inspections of machinery Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards Collaborate with technicians and engineers to meet production and maintenance goals Experience: The candidate must have knowledge of agricultural machines and be proficient in turning and milling work. Extensive experience in fitting and turning for agricultural machinery Proficient in operating turning and milling machines for precision work Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Expertise in machining, fitting, and assembling mechanical components Experienced in manufacturing and modifying parts for agricultural equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical repairs Ability to perform regular maintenance and preventative servicing of machinery Adherence to safety and quality control standards in machining operation
