Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (Depending on experience)

The Role:
Design and develop bespoke engineering solutions for rail depots and workshops
Manage projects from concept to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Create detailed drawings, BOMs, manuals, and technical documentation
Travel to rail depots for meetings, surveys, and installations
Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and risk management principles
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Strong experience in designing and installing lifting equipment
Proficient in SolidWorks (including PDM and FEA)
Project management experience
Excellent written and spoken English
Full UK driving license
Desirable:
Railway industry experience
Fabrication design experience
Knowledge of machine control systems and PLCs
Chartered engineer status
