Your responsibilities

• Managing full accounting processes in accordance with Polish accounting regulations (mainly for a limited liability company – sp. z o.o.).
• Responsibility for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
• Preparing tax returns (VAT, CIT) and handling communication with tax authorities.
• Supervising day-to-day accounting operations, including the control and verification of financial documents, invoices, and accounts.
• Responsible for month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Cooperation with external auditors and banks.
• Monitoring changes in tax and accounting legislation and implementing them within the company.
• Experience with German accounting standards (HGB) is an advantage.
• Preparing reports for management and business partners.
• Participation in budgeting and financial analysis processes.

Our requirements

• A university degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant, especially working with accounting for limited liability companies (sp. z o.o.).
• Strong knowledge of Polish tax regulations and accounting laws.
• Familiarity with German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations in Germany is an asset.
• Proficiency in English or German at a level that allows for effective business communication.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to solve financial issues.
• Attention to detail, responsibility, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Experience working with auditors and external institutions.
