Your responsibilities

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Controller to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance insights, conducting in-depth analyses, and providing valuable recommendations to enhance our business operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify opportunities, forecast trends, and ensure that our strategic goals are met.

This position has become available due to the promotion of the previous holder to a new role. You will benefit from a smooth onboarding process, including training with the person currently responsible for these tasks.

As the role evolves, it will expand into areas of corporate finance, internal control, and auditing. Therefore, we are looking for someone with a strong interest not only in data analysis but also in broader financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support financial managers in understanding and challenging commercial performance in the DACH region.

- Collaborate closely with the sales team (DACH region) to prepare analysis and commentary on monthly performance reporting.

- Conduct order and sales margin analysis across various business channels, customers, products, and business units.

- Ensure that internal controls related to order intake and order bank are functioning effectively across the DACH region.

- Monitor margins on a weekly basis.

- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Present findings and actionable recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.

Our requirements

• Degree in Finance, Banking, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales analysis or a similar analytical role.
• Experience as a financial controller, managerial/statutory accountant, or internal auditor is a plus.
• Strong business focus and an excellent understanding of P&L and finance.
• Ability to translate data into powerful insights and deliver recommendations with a professional and persuasive attitude.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to implement Business Intelligence solutions (e.g., Power BI).
• Fluent in English (C1 level); German (B2 level) is an asset but not required.
• Confidence in interacting with senior leadership and presenting insights effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
