Employer Description A manufacturer and supplier of non-ferrous metal parts into the local and international building hardware, automotive and utilities market Job Description Develop and enhance the software requirements of the business to meet the growing demands by developing integrated solutions to solve the factories needs. The position will be required to come up with new ideas and better ways of solving day to day problems that the business faces. Along with other team members, the candidate needs to ensure the effective, efficient, and secure operation of all information technology systems within the company. Grow into a hybrid of a developer with IT management ability. Ensure the IT department is run smoothly with the direction given to the IT technician and the Syspro Administrator. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology (or similar) Skills Possess strong skills and knowledge in web-based programming (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP) for interfacing with MSSQL and MySQL databases. Strong knowledge & experience in SQL programming querying MSSQL & MySQL databases Knowledge & experience with Delphi, C/C++, C# & Python specifically is beneficial, but proficiency in any language will be advantageous Maintain and improve existing custom-written programs (e.g., QAR system, Annexure 1 system, SIMS, Adam HMI's, Real-time Alerting program, Reporting program). Manage and migrate systems from old to new revisions Oversee potential migrations of Exchange, SQL, domain controller, file server, and other systems to the cloud. Support all IT software systems within the company (e.g., Microsoft, SysPro, CuroQuip, TransLution, VIP). Benefits Bi annual Profit Share (January & July) 13th Cheque
