Role – Senior Information Security Analyst
Location – Basingstoke, 2 days working from home
Salary – up to £65,000
Start – ASAP
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join a fast growing business in central Basingstoke where you'll play a critical role in protecting the organisation's data and infrastructure from cyber threats. It's a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.This is an exceptional opportunity to apply and expand your engineering or analytical expertise within a collaborative environment. You'll work alongside internal teams and external partners to drive innovation and strengthen their security strategy.
The Role
As a key member of the Information Security team, you'll be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimising security tools to protect the company's data, email systems, and network. Your role will be a 70:30 split between Information Security and Network Security and are ideally looking for candidates with experience working with Palo Alto, Cisco and/or Meraki. The role will also involve conducting regular risk assessments, identifying and responding to cyber security threats, and participating in the continuous improvement of our security processes.
You'll collaborate with technology teams to ensure that their security measures align with both business objectives and industry best practices. Additionally, you'll identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency, ensuring that our security operations are both effective and scalable.
Your responsibilities will also include ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, contributing to a culture focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers, and taking ownership of your personal and professional development.
The Person
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Information Security Analyst with at least five years of experience in cyber security, particularly within cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP. You should have a strong foundation in designing, developing, and continuously improving security solutions, along with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
Key skills include a deep understanding of security principles such as privileged access and role-based access technologies, as well as experience in cyber risk assessment and treatment.
Ideally, you'll be familiar with security control frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS benchmarks, and ISO27001, and have experience in network security.
In terms of personal attributes, you should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
The role is paying up to £65,000 and excellent benefits.
