Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer - Docker/Kubernetes

Roles and Responsibilities : 1. Engineering Planning & Design : - Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and ensure that cloud-based applications and services are deployed consistently and reliably. - Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for applications and services using cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. - Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and security assessments to ensure the robustness and resilience of cloud infrastructure 2. Engineering Development : - Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. - Monitor cloud-based services to ensure optimal performance, availability, scalability, and security. Implement corrective measures as needed. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to cloud infrastructure and deployment processes in a timely and effective manner. - Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. 3. Team Development : - Maintain knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and trends and incorporate them into the organization's cloud strategy to ensure competitiveness and effectiveness. - Act as a subject matter expert for cloud computing, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed. - Defining career paths for team members and helping them grow with regular coaching and mentoring. Requirements : - The ideal candidate would be from a CS, IT, or equivalent experience with 4-6 years of working experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. - Strong experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. - Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management concepts in cloud environments.
