Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Solution

Roles & Responsibilities : We are looking for an experienced software engineer to work with our engineering team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager of Applications Development, this Senior Software Engineer will be a member of the App Platform team. Why you want to work on this team : - This team helps steer the cloud strategy and build the platform that teams will use to develop their products - You have daily impact as you work with engineers across Availity to build cloud solutions and migrate to AWS - You work with a team that values quality and embraces a culture of continual improvement and delivery - You work on a small, talented team that enjoys collaboration and learning from each other To be qualified for this position : - Possesses a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent - At least three years' experience in a software Engineer role or related position - Five years' experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Golang, Python, DotNet or JavaScript - Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and Terraform - Knowledge of web services, API, REST, SOAP and RPC - Experience with CICD systems - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Possess a self-starter highly motivated mindset that can set personal goals, train yourself and work independently and within a team. You will set yourself apart with : - Practical experience working with cloud-based services, preferably AWS either developing or migration. - Proficiency with Splunk or platform observability tools - Proficiency using CloudWatch, New Relic or other monitoring tools. You will : - Be working on net new development to prepare for cloud migration - Be working on modernizing existing code to prepare for cloud migration - Be working cross functionally with other teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company. - Plan, design, and develop cloud-based applications. - Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security. - Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing configuration management (Terraform) infrastructure as code. - Train teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required. - Orchestrate and automate cloud-based platforms throughout the company. - Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. - Stay current with industry trends, make recommendations as needed to help the organization innovate and excel. - Foster a culture of continual learning and continuous Integration (ref:hirist.tech)
