Head of Finance

Our client, a leader in their field, is looking for a dynamic Head of Finance to join their team. Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities include: Financial Leadership: Providing strategic financial leadership and direction to the finance team Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency Collaborating with senior management to develop and execute the company''s financial strategy Accounts Payable: Overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments Implementing and maintaining effective vendor management practices Monitoring and managing cash flow to optimise working capital Accounts Receivable: Managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections Developing and implementing credit policies and procedures to minimise bad debt Monitoring and reporting on accounts receivable aging and performance Revenue Management: Overseeing revenue recognition processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards Analysing revenue trends and providing insights to support business decision-making Collaborating with commercial and marketing teams to standardise reporting Stock Management: Overseeing inventory management and control processes Ensuring accurate and timely recording of stock movements and valuations Monitoring stock levels and optimising inventory turnover Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing and presenting financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Taking full ownership of annual and interim financial audits (internal and external) Working closely with FP&A team to complete the annual budget cycle Identifying and executing automation opportunities Providing insights and recommendations to support business decision-making Ensuring full statutory compliance relating to indirect company taxes Being responsible for the integrity of all financial records Qualifications and Experience: CA (SA) with 5 years'' experience in managing a finance team Experience in e-commerce or retail industry is highly desirable Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations Strong general financial background with proven skills in financial accounting, budgeting and reporting, treasury, and cash flow management Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
