Data Engineer - Machine Learning

Job Title : Data Engineer Experience : 1-3 Years Location : Bangalore, Work from office- 5 days Company Overview : We are a climatetech startup. It is a cloud-based software to help industrial businesses to manage and monetize their sustainability journeys, using AI and blockchain. It helps industrial companies track and monetize their CO2 emissions, creating profitable pathways to sustainability. The revenue model is based on SaaS subscription fees. Our primary focus is on industrial manufacturing led companies. Geographically, India, Middle East and Southeast Asia are in immediate focus, with EU and North Asia being mid-term focus areas. Pilot clients include large steel, automotive and utility companies. The company is headquartered in Bangalore. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support data processing, analytics, and machine learning applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and product managers to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions. - Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and lakes. - Optimize performance and efficiency of data workflows and storage systems. - Ensure data quality and reliability through monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting. - Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 3-6 years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles. - Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation. - Strong experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools. - Hands-on expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark. - Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Scala. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment (ref:hirist.tech)
