Senior Performance Test Engineer - JMeter/LoadRunner

Position : Sr Performance Test Engineer Location : Ahmedabad (Preferable) Else,( Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai)- HYBRID Experience : 6 to 8 Years Project Contract : 12 months (Extends) Mandate Skills : Jmeter & Load Runner. Responsibilities : - Design and implement performance test plans for targeted API endpoints. - Select and utilize appropriate performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) to simulate real-world usage scenarios. - Execute performance and load tests, analyzing results to identify performance bottlenecks and scalability issues. - Collaborate with development teams to diagnose performance problems and recommend solutions for optimization. - Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and automation scripts. - Monitor system performance metrics and identify potential performance issues proactively. - Stay updated on the latest performance testing trends and methodologies. - Document performance test findings and recommendations clearly. Qualifications : - Minimum 6 years of experience as a Performance Engineer or related role. - Proven experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing performance and load tests. - Strong understanding of performance testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, performance testing principles). - Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. - Strong communication and written documentation skills. Roles and Responsibilities : The Lead Performance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the performance testing and optimization of applications and systems. This role involves leading a team of performance engineers, designing and executing performance tests, analyzing results, and working closely with development teams to resolve performance issues. Key Responsibilities : Leadership and Strategy : - Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers. - Develop and implement performance testing strategies and best practices. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand performance requirements and objectives. Performance Testing : - Design, develop, and execute performance test plans and scenarios. - Identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement in applications and systems. - Use performance testing tools and frameworks to simulate real-world usage and load conditions. Analysis and Reporting : - Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on performance metrics. - Interpret data and provide actionable insights to development teams. - Recommend and implement performance improvements based on analysis. Collaboration : - Work closely with software developers, system architects, and QA teams to address performance issues. - Facilitate performance tuning and optimization efforts across development and operations teams. - Ensure performance requirements are integrated into the development lifecycle. Continuous Improvement : - Stay up-to-date with the latest performance engineering trends, tools, and technologies. - Propose and implement enhancements to performance testing processes and methodologies. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience : - 8 years of experience in performance engineering or related roles. - Proven experience in leading performance testing initiatives and teams. - Strong background in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar. Skills : - Expertise in performance testing methodologies and best practices. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar. - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
