Infra Practice Lead - Cloud Solutions

Role : Infra Practice Lead Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Cloud Infrastructure Practice. As the Cloud Infrastructure Practice Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure solutions for our clients. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, managing resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the practice. Responsibilities : 1. Strategic Leadership : - Develop and execute strategic plans for the Cloud Infrastructure Practice in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. - Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the practice, keeping abreast of emerging technologies and trends in cloud infrastructure. 2. Practice Management : - Lead and mentor a team of cloud infrastructure architects, engineers, and consultants. - Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and performance evaluation within the practice. - Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth. 3. Client Engagement : - Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on cloud infrastructure strategies, solutions, and best practices. - Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify opportunities for business expansion and client relationship enhancement. - Ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting client expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget adherence. 4. Solution Design and Delivery : - Lead the design and architecture of cloud infrastructure solutions tailored to meet client requirements and objectives. - Oversee the implementation and deployment of cloud infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices. - Drive the adoption of automation, DevOps practices, and other efficiency-enhancing techniques to optimize cloud infrastructure operations. 5. Risk Management and Compliance : - Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud infrastructure projects, including security, compliance, and governance considerations. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. - Implement robust security measures and protocols to protect client data and infrastructure assets. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. - Extensive experience (15 years) in cloud infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on leading-edge technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc. - Proven leadership experience in managing teams of technical professionals, including architects, engineers, and consultants. - Experience in Managing large scale Windows/Linux environments - Experience in understanding a complex customer's existing software workloads and the ability to define a technical migration roadmap to the Cloud. - Experience in Identity and Access Management, networking, Storage, compute infrastructure (servers, databases, firewalls, load balancers) for architecting/developing/maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments. - Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems. - Experience in advanced areas of networking, including Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies. - Experience with Relational Databases, NoSQL Databases and/or Big Data technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, Spark, Hadoop, other Open Source). - Experience with application development concepts and technologies (e.g. CI/CD, Java, Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible) - Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and/or continuous integration/delivery. - Deep understanding of open-source server software (such as NGINX, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch) - Expert knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). - Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute plans that drive business growth and profitability. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred. - Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and IT governance. - Define the Cloud strategy and solutions to support large cloud transformational pursuits. - Work with the Sales team to identify and qualify business opportunities, to identify key customer technical challenges and to develop the cloud solution to meet the business needs. - Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build strong industry relationships.
