Job Description
My client is an established multi disciplined civil engineering contractor and with the recent award of a long-term delivery programme are recruiting for a Site Agent to strengthen their Operations Team on the Thames Water framework.
Initially working on remediation packages, bridge structure repairs and trunk sewer barrels across road/rail schemes in East London, candidates will provide site management support on water infrastructure/non-infrastructure projects or programme of projects from inception through to completion.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Delivery of various civil engineering and water infrastructure projects to agreed specification.
* Leading site teams consisting of Engineers, Forepersons and Sub Agents.
* Ensuring production and implementation of project plans, RAMS, ITP’s and waste management plans.
* Commercial performance management of contracts.
* Producing and managing the project construction programme and 2-weeks’ look ahead.
* Producing procurement schedules and liaising with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks.
* Liaising with customers, clients’ representatives and public.
* Delivering product to customer requirements and satisfaction.
* Managing and populating cost plans for the group.
* Ensuring detailed site diaries and records are completed.
* Value engineering.
* Producing accurate monthly client and internal reports.
* Chairing weekly site meetings.
* Ensuring weekly and monthly reporting timescales are met.
Successful candidates will possess:
* Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
* Extensive civil engineering or water infrastructure experience operating as a Site Agent.
* Valid CSCS (Manager’s) Card, First Aid, Temporary Works Coordinator and SMSTS accreditation.
* Confined space training and lift supervisor (desirable).
* Conversant with Primavera P6 or equivalent estimating software.
* Sound Knowledge of JCT/NEC forms of contract, CDM regulations, design management, contract conditions and cost/value reporting.
* Exceptional communication, people/team management, influence and leadership skills.
* Adept with construction methods, Health & Safety and legal regulations.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Valid UK driving licence to allow travel to live projects across Greater London.
