Senior DevSecOps Engineer | Perm

This role is specializing in advanced naval technology and defense systems, supporting the national and global defense mission. We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology and secure software solutions to enhance maritime security, operational efficiency, and defense readiness.

• Implement DevSecOps Principles in Customer-Facing Contexts: Apply and advocate for DevSecOps best practices in development, operations, and security, ensuring all processes are optimized for secure and efficient customer-facing services.
• Master Development and Security Tooling: Utilize in-depth knowledge of operating systems, development environments, and security tools to ensure the integrity of workstations, servers, and software systems.
• Leverage Programming Skills: Apply expertise in languages like Go and Rust to enhance software security and efficiency, working closely with developers to integrate secure code practices.
• Manage DevSecOps Toolsets: Use tools like GitLab, Terraform, Kubernetes (K8S), FluxCD, and ArgoCD to streamline continuous integration and deployment while ensuring security compliance.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work in partnership with development, operations, and security teams to implement cohesive security strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Analyze and Resolve Security Challenges: Identify and address complex security issues with strategic and effective solutions, adapting as needed to evolving threats.
• Understand Diverse Technological Environments: Assess and apply DevSecOps practices across various platforms and technological environments, ensuring security without compromising functionality.
• Anticipate Customer Needs: Proactively understand and respond to customer requirements, tailoring security and development solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and trust.
• Stay Current with Security Trends: Remain updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and cutting-edge technology to provide informed, proactive security solutions.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in DevSecOps, with experience applying security practices in customer-facing environments.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Go and Rust programming languages.
  • Expertise with DevSecOps tools including GitLab, Terraform, Kubernetes, FluxCD, ArgoCD, and related CI/CD tools.
  • Strong foundation in operating systems and security tooling.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of the latest security standards, industry trends, and threat intelligence.
• Singaporean only.
