About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.
Job Responsibilities
You will be part of the Wholesale Operational Readiness Centre (WORC), responsible for effective implementation of Technology changes, reviewing Requirements from End-User perspective, and ensure implementation through effective Testing, Training and Documentation.
This role will lead the transformation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) into a continuous and efficient end to end quality engineering function through use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies to significantly improve controls, accuracy, and execution velocity.
Your key responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of automation and automated testing frameworks using tools such as TOSCA, Perfecto Scriptless, Selenium, QuerySurge etc.
• Partners with project teams and WORC to ensure testing and automation requirements align with project goals and objectives.
• Works collaboratively with others to lead the definition of testing automation for technology-based applications, by aligning with enterprise and industry best practices.
• Design and implement standards, tools and methodologies to ensure the overall WORC Portfolio is maintained in a coherent manner.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, and ensure adherence to the bank's quality processes, tools and methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in testing and automation, including collaboration with the bank's Testing Centre of Excellence (TCOE)
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts library.
• Contribute to the testing strategy for projects to align to changing delivery paradigms.
• Provides forward thinking, strategic input into WORC as they refine and refresh multi-year strategic plans.
• Establish practical design approaches and standards through research, evaluation, and proof-of-concept activities and ensures quality through design and code review.
• Maintain oversight on technology inventory and assets are managed on a timely manner.
• Provide support for regional WORC teams.
• Lead human resource planning, development, and staff management for the automation team
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's/ Master's degree
• Must-have: A minimum of 10 years' experience in TOSCA in banking and financial services.
• Good-to-have: Experience in testing using Python, Selenium, Appium, Perfecto Scriptless, QuerySurge, Postman API and other tools.
• Good-to-have: Experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Good-to-have: Operations experience (Cash Management/ Trade Finance/ Loans/ Channels operations)
• Experience in managing medium sized team (10 to 20 people) comprising of automation engineers and test executors.
• Ability to take ownership of issues and take them to closure.
• Ability to collaborate with peers and to work cross-functionally with testing personnel in other teams as well as with developers, business analysts, system analysts and product owners.
• Detailed and results-oriented and able to work independently within strict timeframes.
• Mature individual with strong leadership, influencing and problem resolution skills.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, including effective presentation skills
