Job Description
We are in the process of expanding our team in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada, and are actively searching for a Junior Accountant. This role is crucial to our operation in the Manufacturing industry and will involve a range of responsibilities including maintaining and auditing financial records, processing invoices, and generating reports.Responsibilities:- Oversee the process of invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.- Conduct journal entries as part of the regular accounting procedures.- Support the internal audit process on a yearly basis, collaborating closely with the accounting team.- Generate variance reports, providing key insights into financial performance.- Contribute to the budgeting process, aiding in financial planning and forecasts.- Leverage Microsoft Excel skills to perform functions such as pivot tables and v-lookups.- Utilize the Mincron internal system for various accounting tasks and prepare for the implementation of SAP in the near future.- Ensure customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently.- Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating them as necessary.- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when required.- Use your organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain high standards of accuracy in all tasks.Please note that this role requires on-site work and operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The selected candidate will join a laid-back and supportive team that values mentorship and growth. This role is ideal for someone who is working towards their CPA certification and has at least six months of hands-on experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry.- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel- Experience with Account Reconciliation- Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)- Skills in Billing and Invoice Processing- Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently- Knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting principles and practices- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities- High attention to detail and accuracy- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Good organizational and time management skills.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
