Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our client's team located in Guelph, Ontario. In this role, you will primarily be involved in the financial management of the company, including budget preparation, financial reporting, treasury management, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Responsibilities:- Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings and reporting.- Analyze and report on financial statements including budget variances and KPI reporting.- Supervise daily transactions including accounts payable disbursements, inter-company transactions, and journal entries.- Participate in the preparation of annual and revised budgets, and engage in discussions and negotiations with management and executives.- Lead and execute projects for efficiency enhancement, including systems implementation and delegation of duties to team members.- Ensure compliance with accounting and customs laws and reporting requirements to internal and external stakeholders.- Ensure timely and correct filing of government reports including preparation of Corporate Income Tax Returns.- Implement appropriate internal controls and checks within the organization.- Coordinate interim and year-end external audits and ensure the company's financial statements comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).- Oversee banking and finance tasks including review and approval of weekly cash disbursements, treasury functions, and bank reconciliations.- Ensure timely collection and payment of Accounts Receivables/ Payable and inter-company transactions.- Respond to inquiries from the Director and company-wide managers regarding financial results and ad hoc reporting requests.- Develop and implement new policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance workflow and resource efficiency.- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering professional development and a health and safety mindset within the company.- Applicant must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance-related role- Must have a strong knowledge of Auditing practices- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required- Experience in Period End Closing is necessary- Familiarity with GAAP Accounting principles is essential- Applicant should be proficient in IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds- Experience in KPI Reporting is required- Knowledge of Intercompany Transaction is needed- Familiarity with Journal Entries is necessary- Experience in J-Sox is required- Proficiency in Ad Hoc Analysis is necessary- Applicant must possess experience in using JDE EnterpriseOne software.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
