About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group's business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Country and Credit Risk Management Division within Group Risk Management. You will mainly provide support for Secretariat related matters for senior management committees, and other credit risk related tasks.

Your specific responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate with Credit Approvers/BUs/SUs/Country EXCO Secretariats on the line-up of credit cases/proposals and/or reports for the Committee's decision
  • Monitor status of Committee's decisions and summarise decision results for dissemination to respective BUs/SUs
  • Maintain proper Committee decision records
  • Prepare monthly agenda for physical meetings
  • Assist management committee members on queries relating to agenda and/or items for approval
  • Assist in ad-hoc assignments and projects as required
Job Requirements

  • An independent and organised worker with a good eye for details
  • A committed team player, able to work with colleagues from various departments/divisions across the UOB Group
  • Demonstrate initiative to take ownership of assigned tasks and see them through to completion
  • Possess the drive and energy to work around constraints to achieve required objectives
  • Resilient and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently as well as work under tight timelines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with good written and spoken English
Technical Skills
  • Candidates should have a credit background e.g. credit approver, credit analyst, corporate/ commercial banking relationship manager
  • Experience in a meeting secretariat role or similar function would be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams)
Education Qualification

Degree in a Business or related discipline
