Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, efficiency, and success at every stage
Our client are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from pre-contract through to completion and handover, ensuring that all aspects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including engineers, sub-contractors, and internal teams, to manage both operational and financial aspects of the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects from pre-contract stage through to completion and final handover, ensuring all objectives are met.
- Financial Management: Take charge of the project’s P&L, proactively identifying and addressing any financial issues that arise.
- RAMS Production: Ensure the timely production and management of Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) for all projects.
- O&M Manuals: Collaborate with engineers and sub-contractors to collect and submit all relevant site information for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Site Supervision: Oversee site operations, including the management of staff and sub-contractors, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Site Audits: Conduct regular audits of both staff and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Sub-contractor Invoices: Sign off on sub-contractor invoices after verifying the completion and quality of works following site visits.
- WIP Management: Prepare and submit Work in Progress (WIP) reports, ensuring all evidence is collated for invoicing purposes.
- Weekly Meetings: Attend weekly WIP meetings at the office and collaborate with other team members to allocate engineering resources efficiently.
- Contract Meetings: Participate in contract meetings as required, providing updates on project progress and challenges.
- Site Surveys and Pricing: Assist in conducting site surveys and pricing variation orders when necessary.
- Training and Development: Be willing to attend additional technical and Health & Safety (H&S) courses during your employment to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including financial oversight.
- Strong understanding of site supervision, staff management, and sub-contractor coordination.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with producing RAMS, site audits, and reviewing invoices.
- A solid understanding of Work in Progress (WIP) reporting and evidence submission for invoicing.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with engineers, sub-contractors, and internal teams.
- Willingness to attend necessary training and development courses as required.
- Will ideally have CSCS Card, SMSTS & IOSH Qualification
