Job Description
The Opportunity and Company Our client one of Northern Ireland's leading construction services are currently looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist to their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role, managing the full payroll cycle ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time and ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of processing payroll for a SME or larger scale business. Main Tasks Manage the full payroll cycle, including the calculation of wages deductions, bonuses and benefits. Maintain and manage payroll software. Ensure the business is compliant with all local and national regulations (i.e. HMRC guidelines) Producing regular payroll reports (i.e. PAYE, NIC, pensions) and submitting with relevant bodies (i.e. HMRC and internal stakeholders). Coordination of internal and external audits related to payroll. Administration of benefits, pensions, healthcare and any other adhoc company programs. Resolving any payroll related issues, discrepancies or inquiries from staff. Criteria Educated to a degree level - preferably within a relevant field (Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration etc.) OR 2/3 years of experience within a payroll position. Strong understanding of payroll systems and software. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Fantastic Attention to detail. Great communication and interpersonal skills - able to interact and engage with staff on all levels. Deep understanding of UK Payroll regulations.
