Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Consultant to lead our client relations and strategic direction efforts. This role requires proactive management and accountability for delivering top-tier service, ensuring client satisfaction, driving growth, and enhancing our commercial profitability.

You'll be the key contact for our assigned clients, leading the charge in all aspects of day-to-day service, quality, and standards. Additionally, you’ll manage a talented team, ensuring their professional development and the overall operational success of our projects.


How you'll make an impact

Client Delivery:

  • Lead the end-to-end service and relationship management for assigned clients, ensuring the highest quality of work and client satisfaction.
  • Engage in senior stakeholder management, providing consultancy and strategic direction through meetings, workshops, and calls.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and subject-matter experts to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet client needs.
  • Develop and implement retirement communication strategies, aligning them with overarching business goals.
  • Oversee project and campaign planning, ensuring alignment with the client's strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables, particularly complex copy and communication materials.
  • Support communication ROI through measurement, analytics, and insights.
  • Drive client profitability and growth, managing risk and solving problems proactively.

Team Development:

  • Manage a team of Account Managers and Account Executives, providing mentorship and coaching.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, ensuring continuous improvement and success.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate strong internal and external relationships, enabling effective consulting and collaboration with clients.
  • Become a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, promoting our services and encouraging business growth.
  • Resolve conflicts proactively, seeking outcomes that satisfy all stakeholders.
  • Represent our company positively among colleagues, providing leadership and support as needed.
  • Foster global collaboration by championing our BetterWorks value proposition.

Administration:

  • Lead by example in governance, ensuring adherence to processes and accountability within your team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of project reports, timing plans, and status updates.
  • Maintain precise records of all chargeable and non-chargeable time, overseeing the invoicing process.

Business Development:

  • Drive the execution of yearly client development plans, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations for new business and marketing opportunities.
  • Represent the company at new business pitches, meetings, and client onboarding sessions.
  • Develop client case studies and secure testimonials to showcase our success.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements, maintaining expertise in required areas.

About You

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in communications and engagement, preferably within a consultancy or agency environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex client accounts and working directly with senior stakeholders, including Board-level executives.
  • Strong people management skills with a history of leading and developing teams.

Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on translating client needs into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong consulting skills, including proactive problem-solving, active listening, and collaborative approach.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work, with strong documentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
