Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Head of PFI Expiry and Technical Services to work part of a cohesive team with the Total Facilities Management business whist working closely with the Commercial, Procurement and Business Support Managers in representing the Group's commercial interests. You will be joining our Total FM team who provide integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors to ensure facilities operate at their best.
The role will report directly to the Director of TFM and offers exposure to a range of large, complex contracts and the opportunity to work alongside a number of key business functions. This role will be suitable for a candidate with 3-5 years prior PFI Management experience looking to develop their expertise and career in the PFI Expiry field. Prior experience may have been in an operational, commercial or a compliance type role, although an excellent technical knowledge and background is essential.
This is a full-time role based at one of the company's office in the South of England although you may be required to travel to other Group or client offices / sites throughout the UK occasionally, dependent upon operational needs as they arise.

Key responsibilities:
- Leading on the PFI Expiry processes and strategic goals for the FM business, attending and leading client meetings where required.
- Assist the Director of TFM overseeing the technical and quality departments, creating a future vision and technical strategy aligned to current and future business priorities
- Leading and Managing TFM Technical delivery and compliance to allow a smooth PFI Expiry data review and transfer.
- Undertake a company AE role with a view to leading upon company SSOW development and compliance.
- Supporting contract transitions from PFI to B2B continuing services feeding into client discussions and assisting the mobilisation lead by setting up key contacts.
- Supporting the migration of PPM and statutory compliance data into the CAFM system development with a view to streamlining PFI Expiry requirements.
- Forensic investigation of building defects to determine root cause, examining design criteria and O&M manuals to identify defects pre-existing at handover.
- Mitigate Pinnacle's exposure to condition-based expiry risks. Working with the LC team to provide prompt request for lifecycle and Schedules of Omitted Items to client bodies.
- Work with the commercial functions to drive business growth by participating in tenders, new business proposals.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience of basic commercial fundamentals (reviewing & drafting PFI Expiry documentation, liaising with government functions such as IPA, DfE etc).
- Firm understanding of PFI contracts and structure. Ability to interpret salient contract clauses from PFI contract documents and to apply these contractual principles in practice.
- Managing commercial discussions around PFI Expiry including interpretation of asset condition expiry criteria and ‘Hand Back' requirements
- Management of Condition Survey processes in PFI contracts including the joint development of survey team briefing documents
- Experience and understanding of FM operations to identify contract interpretation differences between key stakeholders.
- Strong Technical background with prior involvement in the management of Statutory and Regulatory compliance across multiple contracts
- Experience in support of the mobilisation and management of CAFM systems.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a technical or construction-based discipline (preferably with M&E engineering expertise).
