We are currently seeking to employ a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing load calculations, equipment selection and coordinating with other trades to ensure we delivery an optimal system performance. In addition, you will be involved in reviewing external design solutions and will be required to conduction site inspections and provide technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems for industrial and commercial premises.
- Design calculations including duct sizing, equipment, pipework etc.
- Technical support for the project team.
- Assist the estimating team by sourcing quotations from suppliers and vetting quotations for compliance with employers requirement, specifications, and standards etc.
- Stay up to date with the latest regulations and standards and merging technologies.
- Review design and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Co-ordinate with clients, architects, and project teams.
Skills and Experience
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of regulations and building codes.
- Problem Solving.
- Analytical thinking.
- Communication
- Collaborative working
- Professional membership would be advantageous.
Specific Qualifications
- HND in Mechanical Engineering or building services.
- Proficient using CAD/Revit
- Proficient using HVAC software.
