Job Description

We are partnered with a market leading fire and security services business - growing organically and through acquisition, the strategic direction is set - carving a carbon-neutral path through the industry and being the best in their sector.


It's an exciting time to join the business as their new Group Head of H&S and Compliance, providing a key central resource for the group and deliver new initiatives that will underpin the company values and best-in-class service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the five sites across the group in all aspects of Health & Safety, compliance, fire safety & access controls.
  • Develop a strong awareness of positive health and safety - implement new initiatives to drive prevention of accidents, work injuries and illness.
  • Be proactive in inspections across the group.
  • Support and educate the management team in the correct reporting of accidents, incidents and non-conformance, using the data to create robust preventative strategies.
  • Review and update all risk assessment procedures.
  • Manage all regulatory and external accreditation audits, supporting the Compliance Team in audit delivery.
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders whilst responding to H&S queries and incidents.
  • Assess how PPE is issued and used effectively.
  • Identify training opportunities and deliver regular training solutions (Toolbox Talks, bulletins, internal comms.)
  • Ensure that training records and systems are up to date and in line with legal requirements.
  • Host quarterly H&S Committee meetings.


To Be Successful:

  • IOSH & NEBOSH qualified.
  • A deep understanding of legal regulations relating to H&S, Quality and the Environment.
  • Flexibility to travel across sites where needed.
  • Excellent diplomatic communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Previous team management experience and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • The ability to prioritise and pivot to the needs of the business in a fast-paced environment.
