Position Title: Sr. Service ManagerDepartment: Long Term ServiceEntity: CS e-STORAGE UKReports To: Service Director - EMEALocation: London, UK (Hybrid)
Position Summary: The Sr. Service Manager will be responsible for managing a cross functional team to complete commissioning activities and the obligations under the Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. This will include managing the daily operations of the regional service team including scheduling resources to complete commissioning tasks, preventative and corrective maintenance on CSI Solar’s Solbank energy storage product. The individual will be responsible for Health and Safety, P&L, plant capacity and availability guarantees, and augmentations. The successful candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with varying priorities and assignments, as well as demanding timelines. Experience with renewable power generation and service management is essential. The successful candidate must be customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in a supplier service environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all personnel are trained and follow environmental, health and safety policies and proceduresResponsible for the performance of service engineers and technicians as well as their day-to-day activitiesAccountable for P&L including budget, staffing and CAPEX / OPEX developmentEstablish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure sites are in accordance with contractual obligations and manufacturers requirements including achieving capacity and availability guaranteesNegotiate subcontractor service agreementsPrepare and review detailed scopes of work for service team and subcontractors Review and approve maintenance reportsEvaluate and recommend opportunities to improve operational efficienciesDetermine spare part requirements and track spare part inventoryAnalyze performance data determining root cause and performance trendsOversee the preparation of monthly reports to client / owner and present performance metrics and KPI’sAssist with the negotiation of LTSA’s with the client / owner and Sub-LTSA’s with service providersBuild, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the projectComplete other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 10 years’ work experience in a service environment that includes electrical systems, controls systems, network communication hardware, and power generation hardwareMinimum 5 years management and personnel management experienceEngineering (Electrical or Mechanical) degree or diploma. Equivalent work experience will be considered Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and Energy Storage system applications is an assetStrong negotiation, facilitation, risk management and consensus building skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and influence positively a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentalityMust possess a valid driver’s license with a driving recordMust be able to travel to regional locations as neededAbility to function successfully both independently and within a teamDemonstrated professional appearance and conduct Work will be performed in a standard office environment, in front of a computer monitor and will involve sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing, reaching.
