Tax Accountant

Here at Every Step Recruitment, Finance & Accountancy, we are delighted to be supporting our Client with their requirement for a Tax Accountant. The successful Candidate will play a pivotal role in the VAT and Tax reporting for the Group, covering Corporation Tax computations and Returns with a heavy focus on Indirect taxes compliance and submissions.

Please note, this is an office-based role Monday to Friday.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Working across all areas of taxation including corporation tax, indirect tax, direct tax, capital allowances, tax strategy, tax risk and tax compliance
• Corporation Tax and VAT Returns for the Group; ensuring payments are made in accordance with tax authorities deadlines
• Performing quarterly VAT reviews - minimising VAT liabilities and ensuring compliance
• Quarterly GAAP and US GAAP reporting
• Ensuring the Company is fully compliant with the latest tax legislation
• Managing tax audits and liaising with tax authorities to resolve any queries
• Ad hoc tax reporting and advisory work

Skills and attributes required:

• ATT / ACCA / ACA or CIMA Qualified (preferred)
• A solid understanding of VAT regulations and UK Corporate Tax
• Experience of both Indirect and Direct tax
• Previous experience working within a fast-paced, high-volume business (preferred)
• US GAAP accounting experience (preferred)
• Ability to work at pace and to strict deadlines
• Strong MS Excel skills to include Vlookups, Pivot Tables and the ability to manipulate large data sets
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
