Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Account Assistant at Prime TaxTrust Advisory Ltd located in Greater London. The Account Assistant will be responsible for tasks such as
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports under the supervision of senior accountants.
- Bookkeeping: Manage various bookkeeping duties for a range of clients, including VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and monthly management reports.
- Software Proficiency: Use accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Brightpay effectively.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee weekly/monthly payroll, issuing payslips, RTI submissions, and completing employment pension auto-enrolment submissions.
- Tax Responsibilities: Prepare Corporation and Income Tax returns.
- Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks including filing, client communications, and general office duties.
- Company Secretarial: Assist with company secretarial duties, including the preparation and filing of statutory returns, maintaining registers, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform ad-hoc tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the company’s needs.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: An accountancy degree with a 2:1 classification or above, or someone actively working towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ATT, ACCA, ICAEW and CIMA etc.).
- Experience: Previous experience in a practice setting is preferred.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin is essential.
- Computer Skills: Strong capability with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Xero is a plus.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
