Senior Scientific Software Engineer - Fortran, 9 months

The is a fantastic opportunity to join our government client as a Senior Scientific Software Engineer to design, implement, test and document new software changes that enable the successful exploitation of next generation supercomputers to meet Programme and Project benefits

Essential

• Strong experience with Fortran or C, C++ (Fortran is more favourable)
• Demonstrated competence in Python, Linux and version control, eg. github, svn.
• Experience of working within a defined quality-focused development cycle
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, including documentation
• Experience of providing support to a group of users

Desirable

• Experience of developing large scientific applications
• Experience of object-oriented Fortran 2003
• SC Clearance would be an advantage
