Commercial Lawyer

Our customer, a telecommunications company is looking for Two Senior Commercial lawyers for a 6 month & 12 month contract role.

Skills and Experience Needed:

• Qualified solicitor with a current practicing certificate in England + Wales
• Experienced commercial deals lawyer, Ideally with technology/banking experience

The main parts of the role:

You will primarily be responsible for negotiating and advising on Master Services Agreements, and Command products and services, often on negotiated customer bespoke terms, liaising with business stakeholders in the bid cycle, and briefing Legal approvers on the progress of the deal and any escalation issues. You may also be asked to support complex legal interpretation issues or in-life matters with a customer account - so negotiation skills and general commercial acumen will be key.

Be consistent and keep up to date, you’ll:

• Consistency: Use the standard systems, processes, guidance and templates available in each practice area.
• Horizon scan and keep your legal knowledge up to date; ensure colleagues are kept up to date.

People Management, you’ll:

• Need to be able to work independently and lead, support and collaborate colleagues and stakeholders as part of a wider business team (including procurement, programme managers and briefing to leadership)
• Coach, develop and supervise other people who do work for you.
• Support Senior Lawyers and Legal Director deliver consistent performance management.
