Our leading client in the Electric & Utilities industry is looking for a Unified Communications Engineer for a 12 Months Contract with potential to extend in Louisville, Kentucky.

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for critical utility IT networking hardware, software, design, engineering, security, support and analytical activities associated with one or more technical areas. Provides high-level research on unusual and unique projects, recommending direction and plans to deploy and maintain secure infrastructure capabilities that enhance reliability, support business strategy and enhance the client experience while minimizing growth in overall operating costs.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Will primary be the 2nd level support for all Cisco phone or Contact Center express issue
• Will work on daily move add and changes that are requested.
• Helps implement, integrate with, maintain and secure cloud infrastructure using SDN.
• Participates in performance monitoring and tuning of network systems.
• Participates in engineering, design, and project management of network systems projects. Develops and maintains diagrams documenting company networks.
• Participates in technology evaluation and selection processes, ensuring compatibility between client requirements and technical performance. Documents analysis and recommendations.
• Effectively communicates with clients, peers and supervision by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers, vendors and management.
• Works in cooperation with IT Security to ensure that we are in compliance with Enterprise Security standards and that the company's Network security is not compromised.
• Supports NERC-CIP compliance and ensures that electronic and physical security policies are followed.
• Jointly participates with Security and Administration to develop satisfactory backup and restore practices as well as disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Participates in establishing processes and procedures that streamline and reduce costs.
• Participates in managing and improving costs of budgeted Capital and Operational and Maintenance activities.
• All other duties and projects as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience must include Unified Communications Manager 10.5+, Communications Manager Express, Unity, Unity Express, Unity Connection, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Voice Gateways, Unified Presence Server and Communicator.
- Experience must include Oracle and/or Cisco CUBE session border controllers.
- Experience with enterprise telephony design, deployment, and operations.
- Experience with Video Conferencing equipment (SaaS and On-Premise).
- Experience with telephony protocols (SIP, H323, MGCP, SCCP, RTP).
- Experience with multiple disparate telephony services (analog PSTN, PRI's, SIP trunking).
- Experience with web conferencing (audio and video) - design and operational support.
- Contact/Call Center experience is a plus.
