Citrus Farm Manager - Cape Town

Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of citrus production, including planting, cultivation, and harvesting of citrus fruits. Implement best practices for pest and disease management to ensure high-quality yields. Manage irrigation systems to optimize water usage and enhance crop growth. Develop and maintain effective crop rotation and nutrient management plans. Supervise farm staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Monitor and evaluate the health of the citrus trees, addressing any issues promptly. Collaborate with agronomists and other specialists to improve productivity and sustainability. Maintain accurate records of production activities, yields, and financial data. Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and sustainability practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in citrus farming or farm management. Strong understanding of pest management, irrigation, and crop production practices. Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing farm staff. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with agricultural compliance regulations. Proficient in using farm management software for record-keeping and reporting.
