BASED HEMSWELL CLIFF, LINCOLNSHIRE
ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships,
or new products ranges.
▪ Create strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.
▪ Build relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to
address these needs.
▪ Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers and stakeholders.
▪ Pitch sales and products to new and existing clients.
▪ Create sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them.
▪ Possess a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the
industry and positioning.
▪ Collaborate with the Product Development Team and key stakeholders to ensure that
product specification requirements are met & meet legislative standards.
▪ Maintain accurate up-to-date records of business opportunities, customer information,
sales interactions, and sales activities in the ERP system (including product details,
quantities, and delivery information).
▪ Collaborate and report to Sales Manager and interact flexibly with other departments.
▪ Adhere to Company process, ensuring relevant documentation is accurate and well
maintained.
▪ Champion the use of problem-solving tools and knowledge sharing to drive continuous
improvement
CANDIDATE
• A degree is not necessary for this role, however, evidence of related qualifications
and/or proven track record as a Business Development Manager is essential.
• Experience within FMCG and/or Retail desirable.
• A professional approachable personality that translates well across all communication
methods.
• Competency in Microsoft applications & Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
systems (Salesforce).
• Ability to effectively manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
• Project management and organisational skills.
• Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to think strategically using initiative and confidence.
• Ability to analyse sales performance metrics and write reports

Salary: £33,500, rising to £35,000 after probation + £15k capped commission
