My Client are a leading Plumbing & Heating Contractor, established over 50 years ago.
They work alongside leading housebuilders on projects in London and the home counties.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Leading Mechanical Contractor
They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Customer Care Department. The role involves carrying out repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems within new build projects, ensuring that any issues raised by customers post-handover are resolved promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical systems, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, and deliver high-quality customer service.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in plumbing and heating systems, with excellent fault-finding skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Leading Mechanical Contractor
Key Responsibilities
* Fault Finding: Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, particularly within plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems in newly built properties.
* Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out reactive and planned maintenance tasks on mechanical systems including boilers, radiators, underfloor heating, pipework, and associated plumbing infrastructure.
* Customer Interaction: Liaise directly with homeowners, ensuring that any concerns are addressed professionally and efficiently. Provide excellent customer care and after-sales service, maintaining the company's reputation for high standards.
* Quality Control: Ensure that all work is carried out to industry standards and complies with health & safety regulations, as well as company policies.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Care and Construction teams to resolve issues promptly and minimise disruption to homeowners.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including fault diagnoses, repairs, parts used, and time taken. Provide reports and updates to the Customer Care Manager

Preferred Skills & Attributes
* Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Knowledge of building regulations and new build housing standards.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* IT literate with experience in reporting and documenting via customer care systems.
Salary
The salary on offer for this role is up to £40k+package, + Van, mobile phone and company expenses.
