Job Description

Role Title: Workday HRIS Analyst

Salary: £40,000 - £52,500

Location: Manchester(Hybrid working available, potential visits to other sites such as Warrington or Derby)


We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Workday HRIS Analyst, to be involved in in a game changing role as we strive to make the nuclear industry more diverse.

This role will transition from a Workday implementation role into the future HRIS team who will be responsible for the ongoing support and changes to Workday. During the programme you will be responsible for supporting the functional, data, testing and integration work stream whilst building up your knowledge and network within Rolls Royce SMR. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the HR ways of working in HR, embedded Workday across the business and be part of a newly formed team. Key responsibilities include


  • Responsible for defining and supporting the implementation of HR business requirements.
  • Responsible for eliciting, prioritising and implementing HR business requirements.
  • Responsible for configuring and testing different Workday modules
  • Responsible for reviewing current HR metrics and reporting provision.
  • Responsible for understanding the wider HR agenda in order to understand key challenges and needs.
  • Will support wider HR on data extract requests, template creation and validation and transformation ahead of migration.
  • Provide Tier 2 systems support; triage, diagnose, and resolve day-to-day issues originating from end-users.
  • Design/develop standard operating procedures and training guides.
  • Maintain robust change management documentation to satisfy internal/external audit controls and compliance practices
  • Lead and support upgrades, enchantments, and testing activities within Workday.
  • Act as a functional subject matter expert on newly introduced features/products.
  • Recommend and implement new or improved systems or processes to help support business growth/goals.
  • Identify strategies, risks, and options; recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client/functional requirements.
  • Educate the HR team and COE specialists on new functionality.
  • Partner with change management teams to plan and execute proposals and prioritise enhancements as per the HR roadmap
  • Ideally already certified in Workday HCM and other modules.
  • Worked in a similar type of HRIS team.

Pay and Benefits


We anticipate paying a salary of between £40,000 - £52,500 dependant on experience


Short Term Incentive Performance: target opportunity 12.5% up to 18.25%

Benefits Allowance – £2,200 enabling you to create a bespoke package

Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.

Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days

Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care

Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay

£250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
