Market Risk Analyst

The Role
As a Market Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, monitoring, and managing market risk to support the bank’s risk management framework. You’ll be responsible for risk analysis, limit control, stress testing, and risk reporting to ensure robust oversight and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor, and analyze market risk across the bank.
• Perform risk control activities, including limit reviews, limit monitoring, and escalation of breaches.
• Enhance risk systems and templates for improved data validation and risk monitoring.
• Conduct stress testing and perform data analysis for various risk scenarios.
• Prepare and deliver timely risk reports.
• Support risk management committees with presentation materials and meeting documentation.
• Undertake other risk-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline; FRM, PRM, or CFA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in market risk management within a banking environment.
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Treasury products and derivatives.
• Advanced Excel, VBA, and Access skills are beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Capable of thriving under pressure, managing multiple tasks, and meeting tight deadlines.
